Jodi Gagné
Senior Legal Editor & Co-Founder
Jodi Gagné, a Bristol native, graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut (UConn) in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law in 2000.
After working at Arnold & Porter in Los Angeles, Jodi returned to Connecticut to specialize in commercial litigation and insurance defense at Pepe & Hazard and Litchfield Cavo. In 2006, she established her own law practice in Bristol, focusing on criminal defense, personal injury, employment discrimination, and landlord-tenant disputes.
Retiring from practice in 2018, Jodi pursued her passion for writing. In 2020, she began ghostwriting for solo attorneys, law firms, and pro se litigants across the United States, from Connecticut to California. Jodi is recognized as one of the country’s top legal writers and researchers.
Jodi has been a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the State Bar of California, with admissions to federal courts in both states and before the 2nd and 9th U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals.
